Taiwan Institute of Economic Research (Tier) Identifies PACT as Strategic Scope 3 Partner

Earlier this month, PACT welcomed a delegation from the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research (TIER) to explore continued partnership and deepen collaboration. TIER, established in 1976 as Taiwan’s first independent, government-supported think tank, has played a significant role in shaping research on domestic and industrial economics in Taiwan. The visiting delegation is currently focused on Net Zero and specifically accurate and scalable emissions measurement – closely aligned with PACT’s strategic priorities.
During the meeting, TIER highlighted the growing demand for carbon verification in the region and expressed interest in working with PACT to develop a digital emissions verification mechanism. Both sides explored potential areas for collaboration and look forward to continuing these discussions in the months ahead.
Taiwan continues to be a leading force within the PACT ecosystem. Beyond TIER, PACT also engages with III (Taiwan’s Institute for Information Industry), and four Taiwanese solution providers—Taiwan Web Services, Tradevan Ltd., Wormhole Technology Inc., and the Digital Transformation Research Institute (DTRI)—have achieved PACT Conformant status, showcasing the region’s strong digital capabilities.
